All of this out dated technology is almost always landfilled. You might be lucky enough to live somewhere where an environmentally friendly recycler is accepting them, but this is rare because they are not economically worthwhile to recycle.

However they can be upcycled. And may be appreciated at your local preschool for art – check first. Gardeners like the shiny CDs. The tape in video and cassette tape can be woven and turned into bags etc. And thanks to Ethan for letting us know about this possible use for those spindles left over from bulk purchases of DVD and CD disks, which he found on Treehugger.
